Description
The Blood Grouping (A, B, O) and Rh Factor test determines a person’s blood type by identifying the presence or absence of specific antigens on the surface of red blood cells. The test identifies one of the four main blood groups: A, B, AB, or O, based on the presence of A or B antigens. It also tests for the Rh factor, which determines whether the blood is Rh-positive (has the Rh antigen) or Rh-negative (lacks the Rh antigen). This test is crucial for blood transfusions, pregnancy, and certain medical procedures to ensure blood compatibility.
